Emanuela likes to compose series of paintings, sometimes up to 20 at a time, so planning is integral to her process. She starts with a detailed drawing, using photography and Photoshop, before committing to the final piece.

At 26, she has already had three solo shows, including one on her native island, close to her studio in the old town. Her most recent painting began as a mask of her face emerging from the waters of Krk to symbolize that her home is a part of her identity.
