Bowery meets Ibiza
The Mediterranean island through the lens of Stevie and Mada
Bowery meets Ibiza
Calling New Yorkers! Our Camper Bowery store is hosting an exhibition of photos from Issue 15 of The Walking Society Magazine, exploring the cultural dichotomy of one of the most famous and infamous islands in the Mediterranean—Ibiza.
All photos are for sale in-store and on Camper.com. All profits will go to Mallorca Preservation Foundation to create a sustainable future for the island Camper calls home.
Shot by New York-based photographers Stevie Verocca and Mada Refujio, the images highlight the contrast between Ibiza’s hedonistic party scene and the creativity of local culture. The wet ‘n’ wild T-shirt portraits symbolize the magic and mayhem, whereas the Balearic masks known as cabezudos, handmade by Ibiza-based performance company Theatre of the Ancients, allude to the island’s myths and folklore.
