The Walking Society
Ancient Greece was the birthplace of theater, originally a form of storytelling at festivals for the gods, where dramatic performances of tragedy and comedy were staged in the open air.
In modern-day Hydra, Corinna Seeds honors this tradition at her theater and arts school that welcomes students from Greece and around the world. Children learn about the performing arts while acquiring other skills such as set and prop design, which involves creating the masks that were integral to classical Greek theater.
